Things just keep going from bad to worse for the Jets and rookie QB Sam Darnold, who now finds himself back on the sidelines.
On the Jets’ first drive of their game against the Buffalo Bills, Darnold made a QB rush up the middle on third down, which went for nine yards, but not enough for a first down.
Immediately afterwards, Darnold was taken to the locker room for a foot injury. He was noticeably limping.
The Jets announced shortly afterwards that Darnold was questionable to return to the game.

Darnold was just activated this week after missing the last month of games due to a foot injury.
In the replay, a Bills defender could be seen tackling Darnold from behind by the legs, and landing on his foot.
Despite being the only rookie QB to start Week 1 of the NFL season, Darnold has arguably struggled more than any other rookie, both with decision-making and injuries.
UPDATE: Darnold returned to the starting lineup before the end of the first quarter.
