J.J. Redick Is Reportedly Likely To Leave The Clippers This Summer

Los Angeles' star shooter is likely to be with a new team in 2017-18.

This summer is a big one for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and J.J. Redick are all set to hit the free agency market. It looks like at least one of those three key players is going to be leaving.

According to a report by the Los Angeles Times, Redick is likely to leave the team in search of a massive contract. The former Duke star reportedly wants a deal that pays him between $18 million and $20 million a season. The Clippers are unlikely to give him a deal in that range.

From their report:

J.J. Redick, who is an unrestricted free agent, is looking to earn $18-20 million per season, according to the officials. The Clippers probably won’t pay that much, the officials said, but the team won’t rule out re-signing Redick for the right price.

Redick has been one of the best shooters in the NBA for a while. The shooting guard averaged 15 points a game this past season, making 42.9 percent of his 3-point attempts.
