Villanova five-star freshman point guard Jahvon Quinerly took to Twitter this morning to issue a public apology for his controversial social media post.
Quinerly, one of the top recruits in the 2018 class, hinted that he was upset with his decision to attend Villanova following the Wildcats’ upset loss earlier in the week.
“Was my second choice for a reason,” Quinerly wrote.

Quinerly, a five-star point guard, played just one minute in the upset loss to unranked Penn.
The former top recruit had previously been committed to Arizona, but backed off his pledge to the Wildcats during the FBI scandal.
Quinerly has taken to Twitter this morning to issue an apology for his social media post:
“I will work hard to regain your trust and support,” he writes.

It looks like Quinerly will be staying put at Villanova. The Wildcats, 8-3 on the season, are set to play at No. 1 Kansas on Saturday.
