One of the top wide receivers in the Big 12 has announced a shocking transfer today.

Jalen McCleskey, a senior wide receiver at Oklahoma State, announced today that he's opting to redshirt the remainder of the 2018 season. He'll then pursue a graduate transfer.

The son of an NFL player has been one of the top wide receivers in the Big 12 in recent seasons. He has nearly 2,000 career receiving yards and 18 career touchdowns.

McCleskey was one of Oklahoma State's top wideouts this season, but he feels he's not being properly used. The wide receiver had 15 catches for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns so far this year.

There are probably going to be a lot of transfers like this now. The new redshirt rule allows for players to play in four games but still earn a redshirt. So, after four games, players are able to decide if they want to continue playing or not.

McCleskey has decided to pursue other options.
