LeBron James isn't the only Cavs forward departing Cleveland for a new NBA team this summer. Jeff Green is also on the move.

The veteran forward is going back home. The Georgetown product has agreed to a deal with the Washington Wizards.

NBA insider David Aldridge first broke the news of Green's signing with the Wizards, who are in need of help and depth in the frontcourt.

It's a one-year deal.

The Wizards had lost bench forward Mike Scott to the Los Angeles Clippers earlier this week.

Yahoo! Sports NBA insider Shams Charania has the details on Green's contract with the Wizards. He's signing a one-year deal for $2.5 million.

Green, 31, averaged 10.8 points and 3.1 rebounds a game last season for the Cavs. He shot 47 percent from the field and 31 percent from the 3-point line.

The Wizards will continue to explore free agents options for their frontcourt after trading Marcin Gortat to the Clippers for Austin Rivers.
