Here's How Jemele Hill Ended Her Final Show Anchoring SportsCenter

Jemele Hill talking on ESPN.

Jemele Hill's final show came on Friday.

ESPN personality Jemele Hill announced last week that she'd be moving on from the 6:00 PM ET SportsCenter show, opting instead to join the network's Undefeated website. As for who made the decision - Hill says she made it herself. ESPN agrees.

Friday, Hill anchored her final show with partner Michael Smith. In the final 30 seconds, she thanked all of her colleagues. She was also given a cake. She didn't get too emotional, but you could tell that she was a bit sentimental.

Here's what Hill had to say:

"A lot of people here to thank. Certainly all the production staff - I thank you guys. I don't want to mistakenly not mention anyone, so I'll mention you as a group. And to you Mike, thank you so much. This year has been interesting, to say the least. A lot of ups and downs. A lot of highs. While we won't be doing this show together, certainly our friendship is not ending."

Hill won't be a SportsCenter anchor anymore, but she will still be on television. Hill, in addition to her duties at The Undefeated, will be featured on a number of ESPN shows moving forward. It'll be interesting to see how her career progresses.
