Over the weekend, college football fans were treated to one of the nastiest rivalries in the nation when Michigan took on Michigan State in East Lansing. The fireworks started early when Michigan linebacker Devin Bush decided to tear up the Spartans logo at midfield before the game.
The Wolverines dominated the game on the field, winning on both sides of the ball en route to a 21-7 victory. Following the win, Michigan star Chase Winovich had some choice words for the Michigan State team and its fans.
Winovich said "sometimes your little brother starts acting up and you just gotta put them in place," referencing former Michigan star Mike Hart's comments about Michigan State being the "little brother."
Michigan State grad Jemele Hill had a few words of her own for Winovich.
"Talk yo sh*t, but last time the little brother stuff taunt started, things didn't pan out so well for the next decade," she said on Twitter.
Hill has a point. After Mike Hart's comments in 2007, Michigan State won eight of ten contests between the two teams leading into this year's game.
Will the Spartans make Michigan pay for Winovich's comments after the game? We'll be waiting patiently to find out.
