Jermichael Finley Tells Fellow Players To Leave Politics, Race Opinions To Themselves

The prominent NFL player is receiving some brushback for this tweet.

Several NFL players have been voicing their opinions about social issues and politics on social media in recent days following what happened in Charlottesville.

Jermichael Finley will not be one of those players.

The former Green Bay Packers tight end, who retired in 2015, tweeted this afternoon that players should keep opinions about race and politics to themselves.

"Do what you get paid to do & play!" he says.

Finley, unsurprisingly, is receiving some serious brushback from this tweet, including tweets from other NFL players.
