Basically anything that could go wrong has gone wrong for the New York Jets this season, but it doesn’t sound like the team has to worry about a long-term absence for Le’Veon Bell. As a matter of fact, the All-Pro running back is expected to play on Sunday.
The Jets have lost three-straight games in embarrassing fashion. Following a blowout loss to the Patriots on Monday Night Football, the team fell short to the Jaguars and previously-winless Dolphins.
Next up for the Jets is a showdown with their in-state rivals, the New York Giants.
According to Jets reporter Rich Cimini, the coaching staff expects Bell to suit up this weekend.
When asked about Bell’s status for this Sunday, head coach Adam Gase said “It looks good.”
Gase also revealed that Chris Herndon will make his season debut this weekend. He missed four games due to a suspension and then missed three games because of a hamstring injury.
The Jets expect RB Le'Veon Bell (knee/ankle) and TE Chris Herndon (hamstring) to play Sunday against the Giants. "It looks good," coach Adam Gase said. It will be Herndon's season debut. https://t.co/q5529STMqj

New York has dealt with a plethora of injuries this year on both sides of the football. However, the offense should be close to full strength this Sunday.
Bell hasn’t put up jaw-dropping numbers in his first season with the Jets, but he could be in line for a breakout performance. The Giants are ranked 25th in rushing yards allowed per game.
Kickoff for the Jets-Giants game is at 1 p.m. ET from MetLife Stadium.
