Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh has updated the status of Wolverines' star defensive lineman Chase Winovich heading into this weekend's game against Ohio State.

Winovich, a senior standout for Michigan, left this weekend's game against Indiana with an apparent injury.

Harbaugh said after the game that Winovich had passed his initial tests and that things were looking good.

Today, Harbaugh said basically the same thing.

Winovich will continue to get monitored as the week moves on. His status for Saturday's game against Ohio State remains up in the air.

Not having Winovich on the field would obviously be a major loss for Michigan, which boasts one of the best pass rushes in the country. His status for Saturday's game is one of the biggest storylines in college football this weekend.

Winovich hinted on Twitter on Sunday that he could be good to go, retweeting this message:

Ohio State and Michigan are set to kick off at noon on Saturday.

The game will be on FOX.
