North Carolina is currently playing its opening NCAA Tournament game. The Tar Heels are taking on No. 15 seed Lipscomb.
It's been a too-close-for-comfort contest, but Roy Williams' team appears to be in nice control. They're up by 13 with a little less than 16 minutes to play.
We just had a pretty awesome moment in the contest, too. It involves Joel Berry. And Michael Jordan.
Berry, with a 3-pointer, moved up to No. 13 on North Carolina's all-time scoring list. The guy he passed?
Oh, just the greatest player in NBA history - Michael Jordan.
Berry was at 1,790 points.
Berry, a senior guard, has been good for North Carolina so far today. He has 12 points on 5 of 10 shooting, including 2 of 5 from the 3-point line.
With a win this afternoon, the Tar Heels will move on to the second round, where Arkansas awaits.
The second round is set to be played on Sunday.
