Joel Embiid has yet to see the court in the NBA Playoffs. The Philadelphia 76ers young big man is still recovering from his injury. Embiid had to sit on the bench and watch as the Heat tied up the series, 1-1, with a Game 2 win.
Philadelphia’s star center does not appear to be happy. He’s tired of sitting on the sideline. Embiid posted the following statement on Instagram moments after the loss.
“F–king sick and tired of being babied,” he wrote.

Clearly, Embiid wants to get back on the court. And it seems like he thinks the 76ers’ medical staff is being too soft with him.
Philadelphia announced before Game 2 that Embiid, who suffered an orbital fracture late in the regular season, was no longer in concussion protocol. However, he had not been cleared to play yet.
It’s unclear if Embiid will be cleared to play in Game 3. Most are expecting it, but Philadelphia has yet to say if it’s going to happen.
Embiid would surely provide Philadelphia with a major boost heading into South Beach. The Sixers’ offense struggled down the stretch tonight. Having Embiid on the court to run things through late would obviously be a big plus.
The Sixers will likely provide the media with an update on Embiid’s status moving forward tomorrow or Thursday. Game 3 is set for Thursday night. Until then, stay tuned for more posts from Embiid on Instagram.
