The No. 1 goal of any football player in training camp is to stay healthy. An injury during the summer can linger into the season, or worse, end a player's year before it starts.
The Los Angeles Chargers have terrible luck with injuries. They've already lost Hunter Henry and Jason Verrett to injuries this off-season, and star defensive end Joey Bosa left practice today.
According to those on the scene, Bosa suffered some sort of left foot injury early in the session. He left the field and did not return.
While the severity of his injury is unknown right now, there is a bright side for Bosa. He was able to walk off the field under his own power.
It goes without saying that the Chargers could ill afford to lose a player of Bosa's ability for an extended period of time. The early info seems encouraging, but until a diagnosis is announced, Charger fans will be holding their breath.
We will update you on Bosa's injury once more info comes out.
Through his first two NFL seasons, Bosa has recorded 111 tackles, 23 sacks and four forced fumbles.
