Jordan Spieth has not won a PGA Tour tournament yet in 2018. Right now, he's in great position to pick up that first victory, and add a fourth major to his record book.

Spieth won last year's Open Championship at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England. It was his last win on the tour.

After shooting a one-over 72 on Thursday, Spieth began a push to the top of the leaderboard on Friday. He finished with a 67, and topped that today.

Spieth finished the third round with a 65, tied for the second best score of the day.

Jordan Spieth holds a share of the lead at -9, tied with Xander Schauffele and Kevin Kisner.

It was just about a flawless round of golf for Spieth today. He opened with an eagle on the first hole, and followed it up with four birdies.

His opening drive on the 396-yard par four first hole was about as good as it gets. That set up the eagle putt that set the stage for the entire round.

Schauffele and Kisner are both still playing, so there's a good chance the top of the leaderboard will look a bit different entering Sunday.

Right now, it looks like Spieth, Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Tommy Fleetwood, and Justin Rose will all be around the top of the leaderboard entering Sunday.

Get excited.
