ESPN's Adam Schefter Has Update On Possible Josh Gordon Trade

josh gordon has been released by the cleveland browns

Josh Gordon is going to be on the move. The Cleveland Browns announced late on Saturday night that they are parting ways with the star wide receiver. A major NFL trade could be coming.

The Browns' star wide receiver could be released, but there is reportedly significant interest in him on the trading market. So, a trade - and not a releasing - is probably the most-likely scenario.

Where is Gordon going to be traded to?

There are reportedly two preferred destinations. While Gordon doesn't have any say in where he's being traded, the Browns do reportedly prefer to send him to an NFC team, and there are two NFC teams he's interested in.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter has the latest update on a possible trade:

"Cleveland prefers to trade WR Josh Gordon out of the AFC, and to an NFC team, and that's the Browns' current intent, per sources. Gordon knows he has no say in where he is traded, but the two places he's hoping to land are with the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys," he reports.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported earlier that Gordon also preferred to be traded to the Cowboys or the 49ers. Both teams could use help at wide receiver.
