JR Smith Made A Brutal Decision At The End Of Game 1

J.R. Smith squinting his eyes.

We're going to overtime at Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals. The final couple of minutes in regulation were absolutely ridiculous.

J.R. Smith, unfortunately, will go down in pretty brutal fashion if Cleveland is unable to pull out a victory in overtime. He made an extremely bone-headed decision at the end of regulation.

George Hill missed the second of two free-throw attempts with about 4 seconds left and Smith grabbed the rebound. The game was tied at this point, 107-107.

Smith, though, seemed to think that the Cavs were winning. He tried to dribble out the clock.

The Cavs' guard realized he'd made a mistake way too late and Cleveland was unable to get a good game-winning shot attempt off.

Here's video of the play:

That is brutal. Smith's play, if the Cavs end up losing this game, could go down as one of the worst in the history of the NBA Finals.

We're only about a minute into overtime, though. The game is on ABC.
