Last Friday, Kansas struggled to put Louisiana-Lafayette away, only winning by 13 points at Allen Fieldhouse. With the NIT Tip-off tournament taking place this week, the Jayhawks will have to prove they're worthy of being the second ranked team in the country.
First up for the Jayhawks is a matchup with Marquette. The Golden Eagles own a 3-1 record, as they are led by junior guard Markus Howard.
Between Marquette's high-scoring offense and Kansas' plethora of elite talent, this game should be very entertaining.
If the Jayhawks can continue receiving star performances from Lagerald Vick and Udoka Azubuike, then another victory is likely tonight.
However, the biggest difference maker in this showdown might just be Dedric Lawson, who finished with 19 points on Friday. The Golden Eagles play stellar defense, only allowing 63.0 points per game, but Lawson does have game-changing potential.
Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET from the Barclays Center. The game will be available on ESPN2.
Tom Hart, Fran Fraschilla will be on the call.
