Kawhi Leonard Might Prefer To Be Traded To A Team That's Not The Lakers

Kawhi Leonard wants to be traded to the Lakers. That's what a ton of reports are saying, anyway. The Spurs star is unhappy in San Antonio and wants to end up in Los Angeles.

Are the Lakers the team Kawhi actually wants to be traded to, though? Would he actually prefer to end up on the Clippers?

Yahoo! Sports NBA insider Shams Charania reported on Tuesday during an appearance on Colin Cowherd's show that Leonard might be more receptive to a trade to the Clippers.

"I don't think Kawhi Leonard is jumping for joy now that LeBron is a Laker. If anything, he’ll be more open to joining the Clippers."

ESPN NBA insider Stephen A. Smith had previously reported that Leonard had concerns about playing in Los Angeles alongside LeBron James.

Leonard is obviously more reserved and isn't believed to be "enamored" at the idea of playing on a Lakers team with LeBron that'll get an insane amount of attention and coverage.

The Lakers, meanwhile, seem to be OK with waiting on Kawhi to hit free agency. The Spurs are reportedly asking for an insane package in return for their All-Star forward.

This feels like a situation that isn't going to be resolved anytime soon.
