The Wildcats' five-star guard will drop out of the NBA Draft.
Hamidou Diallo has reportedly made his NBA Draft decision.
Kentucky's five-star freshman has opted to withdraw from the NBA Draft and return to Lexington, Ky. for his freshman season.
Diallo, a class of 2017 recruit who enrolled a semester early, had declared for the NBA Draft without signing an agent, allowing him to return to school.
The decision was announced roughly 15 minutes before the underclassmen deadline of 11:59 p.m. E.T.
Diallo, a 6-foot-5 guard, reportedly impressed at the NBA Combine in Chicago, posting a ridiculous vertical jump. Some thought he would be taken in the mid-to-late first round if he opted to stay in the draft.
The five-star recruit has a chance to be a top 10 pick a year from now, though. He was ranked the No. 1 shooting guard in the 2017 recruiting class by 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
Diallo's return could vault Kentucky into No. 1 contention during the 2017-18 season.
