Keveon Mullins, 2019 Four-Star Wide Receiver, Announces Surprising Commitment

Keveon Mullins at Memphis.

One of the top wide receiver recruits in the country has announced his commitment. It's a pretty surprising one.

Keveon Mullins, a four-star wideout out of Tennessee, is the No. 31 ATH in the country, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings. He has scholarship offers from Georgia, Florida State and Louisville, among other programs.

The 6-foot-2 wideout will not be going to any of those major programs, though. He's opted to stay home.

Mullins announced this afternoon that he's committed to Memphis.

"I'm staying home," he wrote.

Mullins is Memphis' first consensus four-star commitment in two seasons. The Tigers last landed one in Obinna Eze, a four-star offensive lineman in the 2017 class.

This is obviously a massive commitment for Memphis' program. Mullins is one of the top wide receivers in the country and he should be a big player for the Tigers.
