The Golden State Warriors, despite having won three of the last four NBA championships, are somehow being mentioned in the LeBron James free agency sweepstakes. ESPN's Stephen A. Smith said James would take a meeting with Golden State this summer. The Warriors are being listed in James' free agency odds, too.

Could it actually happen, though? Would James seriously consider joining what is already by far the best team in the NBA?

Thankfully, no.

Golden State Warriors star forward Kevin Durant appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night and basically confirmed that it won't be happening.

“I just don’t think that’ll happen, man,” Durant responded. “I don’t even want to go there.”

Good. We should definitely not go there.

What team will LeBron be signing with? The Lakers are the franchise getting the most love of late.

Free agency begins on July 1.
