Kevin Durant and C.J. McCollum appear to be feuding on social media one day after the Golden State Warriors star forward was heard on the Portland Trailblazers podcast.
McCollum was asked on Twitter by Barstool Sports' Big Cat if it was OK to start using the "B word" when it comes to Durant, who had said on the podcast that the Blazers have no chance to win the NBA championship in 2018-19.
The shooting guard responded, saying he doesn't like that word, but he did call Durant's decision to join the Warriors' "soft." He also compared what Durant did to losing to a gang in a fight and then joining that gang a couple of months later.
"I still think the b word is harsh and shouldn’t be used," McCollum said. "He know that decision was soft but I respect it. It’s like getting jumped with ur brothers by a gang you should’ve beat then joining the gang that jumped u and ur brothers 2 months later & forgetting about your bros."
McCollum's tweet has gone crazy viral, with thousands of retweets and likes. It's only going to go more viral thanks to Durant's response.
Durant doesn't appear to be happy.
"So,I would get into a gang fight, lose, plot on my brother for 2 months in our home and then go get the gang we lost to and beat him up? U think that low of me CJ? I just did your fuckin podcast. Snakes in the grass boy I tell ya," he wrote.
Oh boy. These two appeared to be friendly enough for Durant to come on McCollum's podcast. Things appear to have escalated since.
