Kevin Durant is expected to hit the free agency market this summer. Well, he will technically be hitting the free agency market.

The Golden State Warriors star forward will opt out of his contract - he has a player option - and seek a new contract. Will that new contract come with his current team or another one?

Unsurprisingly, it will be coming with his current team.

ESPN's Rachel Nichols reported earlier this afternoon that Durant told her today that he will be re-signing with the Warriors.

"I just sat down with him about an hour and a half ago and he said he's re-signing with Golden State," Nichols said.

Durant is on the verge of his second straight championship (and, potentially, second straight NBA Finals MVP). Clearly, he has no reason to leave.

Free agency starts on July 1.
