FOX Sports Analyst Thinks Kevin Durant Could Leave The Warriors For Another Big Team After This Coming Season
Kevin Durant has been playing with the Golden State Warriors the past two seasons, earning two NBA titles in the process. One analyst thinks that after this coming season, Durant could actually bolt the franchise to team up with the best player on the team they've played four years in a row in the NBA Finals.
Earlier this week, Durant offered up a great deal of praise for LeBron regarding the King's decision to join the Lakers. He called it the "perfect" move.
Durant's quote came via an interview with ESPN's Marc Spears:
“I loved it. I absolutely loved it," Durant said. "I thought it was the perfect decision, perfect move, did everything he was supposed to do in Cleveland. I think this is the perfect next step for him, and he’s kinda breaking down the barriers of what an NBA superstar is supposed to be.
You feel like you’re just supposed to play it out in one spot. I think he did a good job of giving different chapters. I think it’s gonna make his book even more interesting when it’s done.”
Chris Broussard thinks that Durant's comments could be a signal that he might join James in Los Angeles after next season.
Durant signed a two-year deal with the Warriors a few weeks back, but the second year is a player option. He could potentially leave the franchise for a team that would become their biggest threat.
Durant seems to be content in Golden State, but if he wins a third title in three years, he may be up for a new challenge. The 2019 NBA offseason is going to be just an entertaining as what we dealt with this year.
