The Minnesota Vikings were putting the boot on the Miami Dolphins’ necks for the better part of the first quarter-and-a-half, but then QB Kirk Cousins made a mistake that gave the Dolphins life.
Up 21-0 in the middle of the second quarter, Cousins threw the ball a little too meekly on a screen pass.
The ball was promptly picked off by Dolphins DB Minkah Fitzpatrick and taken 50 yards to the house for a Dolphins TD.

The poor decision promptly drew outrage and mockery from fans.

Vikings fans do have some cause for concern. They’re 6-6-1 on the season, and without winning out have no chance of winning the NFC North.
As for Kirk Cousins, it has been a challenging first season in Minnesota.
Despite having a career-year in most passing stats, the offense has still struggled at times. So much so that the Vikings fired their offensive coordinator just a few days ago.
