Week 9 of the 2019 college football season is in the books and fans got to see multiple surprise results that are quickly reshaping the national title picture.

Two Big 12 titans were upset on the road by previously unranked teams. The Big Ten East collectively shined with Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Indiana and even Rutgers all winning. And on top of all of that, we got a new No. 1 team in the nation, as LSU is now ranked at the top of the AP Poll.

ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit observed the many games played over the week and has decided on his top six teams for the week.

Taking to Twitter on Monday, Herbstreit announced his top six performers of Week 9:

6. LSU
4. TCU
3. Michigan
2. Kansas State
1. Ohio State

Herbstreit's choices should come as little surprise. Kansas State, Michigan and TCU all scored huge upset wins over Oklahoma, Notre Dame and Texas respectively.

UCLA beat Arizona State in a surprise upset, and LSU climbed to No. 1 in the polls with a win over SEC rival Auburn.

But there was perhaps no team that had a better week than Herbstreit's alma mater, Ohio State.

The Buckeyes crushed the Wisconsin Badgers in what was expected to be a Big Ten Championship Game preview. They cruised to a 38-7 victory over the visiting Badgers and look like a near-lock to make the College Football Playoff.

Week 9 was one of the most thrilling weeks so far, but the best is still yet to come.
