Will any college football team be "scary" good during the 2018 season? One ESPN analyst says yes.
ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit got a first-hand look at Nick Saban's '18 team over the weekend. The Worldwide Leader broadcasted the team's spring game.
Herbstreit, unsurprisingly, came away impressed with what he saw from the Crimson Tide.
Alabama will likely start the season ranked in the top three. Many will have Saban's squad as the preseason No. 1.
Herbstreit doesn't appear to disagree with any of that. The ESPN analyst is extremely high on the Crimson Tide entering the season.
"Team is gonna be scary good again in ‘18," Herbstreit tweeted in response to an Alabama fan.
ESPN's Football Power Index projections are really high on Alabama, too. It has the Crimson Tide going 10.8-1.8 and gives them a 37 percent chance to win the SEC.
Saban and Co. are set to open their 2018 season on Saturday, Sept. 1 against Louisville. A kickoff time and TV channel have yet to be set.
