It's good to be the Los Angeles Lakers right now. Earlier Sunday evening, LeBron James' agency announced that the league's best player had committed to signing a four-year deal with the Lakers. The league's No. 1 free agent is officially off the board.
LeBron is not the only free agent the Lakers have signed tonight, too. Los Angeles has also agreed to a deal with another top NBA free agent.
This free agent has been somewhat of a rival to LeBron over the years, too.
The Lakers have agreed to a deal with Lance Stephenson.
The 27-year-old forward has reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with the Lakers.
ESPN NBA insider Chris Haynes broke the news.
The deal is reportedly for one year and $4.5 million.
Good for the Lakers. Stephenson is a very serviceable player and his game is versatile enough to fit pretty well next to LeBron.
The Lakers surely aren't done, either. Los Angeles is being linked to DeMarcus Cousins, among others, in free agency.
A trade for Kawhi Leonard remains possible, too. The Lakers are going to be good next season.
