The Lakers Reportedly Had A Scout Watching LiAngelo Ball In Lithuania

LiAngelo Ball gives interview to ESPN.

LiAngelo Ball is hoping to join his older brother, Lonzo, in the NBA next season. The 19-year-old swingman has declared for the 2018 NBA Draft.

The middle Ball brother is not seen as a top NBA Draft prospect. It would be surprising if Ball was drafted at all. However, there does appear to at least be some interest from NBA teams. The Lakers are one of them.

According to a report, the Lakers had a scout in the stands at one of LiAngelo Ball's recent games in Lithuania. Lonzo Ball, of course, is a rookie on the Lakers.

Lithuanian journalist Donatas Urbonas provided the news:

LiAngelo Ball played well in front of the Lakers scout. He scored 12 points and hit 3 of 3 shots from 3-point range.

Yahoo! Sports reported previously that LiAngelo Ball is expected to work out for several NBA teams when he returns to the United States.

LiAngelo Ball is expected to work out for several NBA teams when he returns from playing for Vytautas and will participate in the Pro Basketball Combine at IMG Academy (Florida) in May in front of team executives. As NBA teams increasingly value 3-point shooting and defending wings, Ball will have an opportunity to prove to teams that he is a potential draft pick.

The 2018 NBA Draft is set for late June. Ball is a probable undrafted free agent player. Perhaps he'll play on the Lakers' summer league team.
