Report: This Is What The Lakers Are Willing To Offer For Kawhi Leonard

The Lakers introduce Brandon Ingram at a press conference.

The Lakers and the Spurs are "fully engaged" on a trade for San Antonio's All-NBA forward, Kawhi Leonard. The Spurs are now willing to trade Leonard to a Western Conference team. The Lakers might have the most that any team is willing to offer for him, too.

Los Angeles has several young assets in Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart and Julius Randle. The Lakers are reportedly also seeking to add a future first-round pick from another team that could be thrown into a trade for Leonard.

As of now, though, the Lakers reportedly are not willing to give up several of those promising young players for Leonard.

ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that, right now, Los Angeles is willing to give up Ingram and a future first-round pick.

San Antonio wants more.

The Lakers are motivated to make a deal for Leonard on several fronts, including the potential boost it would give them in luring LeBron James to Los Angeles. Leonard wants a trade to the Lakers now, and has expressed his desire to sign with them in free agency in 2019.

The Lakers are willing to include former No. 2 overall pick Brandon Ingram and a future first-round pick in a package for Leonard, but the Spurs are seeking a far more complete haul of Lakers young players and future picks, league sources said.

Ingram might be the best young player available in a trade for Leonard, but it's understandable that San Antonio would want at least a little bit more from the Lakers.

Will they be able to get it? The Lakers are reportedly feeling pressure to add Leonard before LeBron James makes his free agency decision. Adding Kawhi would reportedly basically "clinch" a commitment from LeBron. And a Kawhi-LeBron tandem in L.A. is extremely intriguing.

The Lakers clearly have a decision to make. What more are they willing to add to a deal to get this done? We're going to find out soon.
