The Lakers have already signed a couple of notable players to one-year deals following the four-year commitment of LeBron James. Another deal could be coming, too.

Tyreke Evans, one of the top free agent guards on the market, is reportedly meeting with the Lakers today. The 28-year-old combo guard had an extremely productive season in Memphis in 2017-18 and was a top trade target for teams at the deadline, though the Grizzlies opted to hold onto him.

The Lakers have some competition for Evans, who reportedly met with the Oklahoma City Thunder earlier.

ESPN NBA insider Chris Haynes first reported the news.

"ESPN Sources: Free agent guard Tyreke Evans meeting with the Lakers today. He met with Oklahoma City last night in Los Angeles," he reports.

Evans averaged 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists per game last season. He could be a very valuable guard coming off the bench for the Lakers in 2018-19.

The former Memphis star is one of the top free agents remaining on the board this summer. The Lakers appear to be making him a priority right now after agreeing to terms on a deal with Lance Stephenson and JaVale McGee (and, of course, LeBron James).
