LaVar Ball made headlines last week when he commented on what would happen in a 1-on-1 game against new Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James. LaVar, of course, said that he would beat the NBA's best player if he was still in his prime.
LeBron is "too weak," per LaVar.
The comments came during an interview with Fanatics View Originals.
"He too weak. Back in my heyday, can’t nobody hold me. 270? Benching 500? All I gotta do is back you in, I’ll lift all off them up off their feet.
Don’t need no video… You want to see me back in the hey day? I was a bad mama jama… My will to win was too hard. One-on-one I bet on myself all day," Ball said.
LaVar has made some new comments on his relationship with LeBron. He doesn't see any kind of partnership coming between his Big Baller Brand and Nike, per an interview with Landon Buford.
“LeBron, he is doing his thing with his business and I am blowing up my empire doing my thing with my business. So, who knows. LeBron is into movies and production, and If I slowly get into that lane as we go, then maybe. I don’t know if I am going to get into that lane; I might not be a movie guy, where I say you know what? I want to make some movies. That is not my passion.”
LaVar Ball added on LeBron James:
“I don’t know if we are going to link up or not. I know he deals with Nike and I deal with Big Baller Brand. I don’t see any co-brand or a connection.”
The LaVar-LeBron storyline (unfortunately for many) is going to be a big one over the next couple of months.
