LeBron Asked If Relationship With Dan Gilbert Will Affect His Free Agency Decision

LeBron James is set to begin his eighth straight NBA Finals this evening, with his Cleveland Cavaliers taking on the Golden State Warriors. The game is set to tip off at 9 p.m. E.T. It'll be televised on ABC.

The Finals aren't the only thing people are talking about when it comes to James, though. In about a month, he's set to become a free agent.

Everyone, of course, is speculating about James' upcoming decision. Will he stay in Cleveland or go somewhere else?

James' relationship with the Cavs will surely play a role in his decision. It appears to be a good one, though some speculate that he's not a fan of Dan Gilbert and that could help push him out. This video after Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals certainly didn't help.

The Cavs' star was recently asked by ESPN's Rachel Nichols if his relationship with Gilbert will affect his decision.

“We’re gonna see. We’ll see,” James said.

That was an intentionally coy response, but James did expand on his relationship with Gilbert, admitting that it's a lot better than people think.

“Our relationship has always been a working relationship. For me personally, I’ve always tried to, since I came back to this franchise, tried to put this franchise at a level that it is always seen in a positive light,” he said.

Free agency is set to begin on July 1.
