LeBron James Has Reportedly Set A Date For His Free Agency Announcement

LeBron James announces his free agency decision in 2010.

LeBron James has reportedly set a date for his free agency decision announcement. The NBA's best player will reportedly be making his decision public very, very soon.

Nick Wright of Fox Sports 1 is reporting that LeBron has both made his decision and decided on an official announcement date.

LeBron's announcement is coming on Tuesday morning, according to Wright.

"LeBron has made his decision & informed those close to him. Expect the official announcement Tuesday morning," he tweeted.

There appear to be three legitimate contenders for LeBron at this point. The Cavs, Lakers and Sixers could all have a sense of optimism when it comes to James' decision.

The Lakers are currently listed as the favorite, but it was the Cavs who spoke to LeBron right when free agency began. The Sixers, meanwhile, were able to secure a meeting with LeBron's representatives in Los Angeles this afternoon.

Few other details surrounding LeBron's decision have been made public. There is some speculation that his announcement will come via an Instagram/UNINTERRUPTED video, but that's yet to be confirmed.

At this point, all we really know is that there are a couple of teams being mentioned for LeBron James, and it doesn't sound like he's taken any in-person meetings. This is a decision that will likely be kept under wraps until it's officially made public. James has a handful of people close to him that he really trusts and outside of them, everyone is being kept in the dark, mostly.

LeBron probably will be announcing his decision soon, though. There is serious talk that he wants to make his decision public before July 4. We'll find out in a couple of days if that ends up being the case.

In the meantime, the free agency watch for LeBron James continues on social media (and pretty much everywhere else). Stay tuned.
