ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski On LeBron's Interest In The Sixers

LeBron James not happy with espn reporter Mark Schwartz's question.

LeBron and the Sixers has become the story of the day in the NBA world. Philadelphia appears to have emerged as a realistic, legitimate option for LeBron in free agency. Until today, most people seemed to think he was going to Los Angeles or staying put in Cleveland.

The Sixers are aggressively pursuing LeBron now. They were able to get a meeting with LeBron's reps in Los Angeles today.

LeBron himself was not at the meeting, but those around the star player believe he should consider Philly as a real option. LeBron's agent, Rich Paul, took the meeting with Philly.

"James isn't expected to attend the meeting, which is the first significant chance for the 76ers to make a free-agent pitch to James, league sources said. Ownership and possibly interim president of basketball operations/coach Brett Brown are expected to lead the meeting with James' representatives, sources said.

The Sixers have the ability to offer James a $38.25 million annual maximum salary over four years, potentially partnering him with two of the NBA's best young stars, Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons," ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski wrote of the meeting.

Woj appeared on SportsCenter earlier today and spoke more about why LeBron would be intrigued by Philadelphia.

"This is a natural team for LeBron James to consider. Great young talent, major market and a max salary slot just waiting for him to slide into. If you add LeBron James to that team, they’re a contender," he said on ESPN.

The Sixers aren't just focused on LeBron, either. They remain interested in pursuing a trade for Kawhi Leonard and, if they're willing to give up Markelle Fultz, probably have the pieces necessary to make that happen.

Can you imagine a LeBron-Kawhi-Simmons-Embiid pairing in Philadelphia? That's a grouping even the Warriors would be afraid of.

LeBron James Watch continues tomorrow. Reports suggest an official, public decision could be made by Tuesday.
