The Cleveland Cavaliers have made their pick at No. 8 overall in the 2018 NBA Draft. The franchise has selected a point guard out of the SEC.
Dan Gilbert and Co. drafted former star Alabama point guard Collin Sexton, who is arguably the most-competitive player in this draft class. "He's a fighter," says ESPN's Jay Bilas.
The question with the Cavs, of course, is what's going to happen with LeBron James? He's set to be a free agent in a couple of weeks.
The Cavs reportedly made their pick without knowing what James is going to do. However, James is reportedly a big fan of the player the Cavs just drafted.
Cleveland.com's Joe Vardon reported earlier this month that James' camp was a fan of Sexton.
Well, that can't hurt. However, the last time James was a free agent, back in 2014 with the Miami Heat, the franchise drafted Shabazz Napier. LeBron was a big fan of the UConn point guard and even tweeted about him leading up to the draft.
The Heat took him and a couple of weeks later, James left for Cleveland.
NBA free agency begins on July 1.
