When LeBron James made the decision to take his talents to the Western Conference, the entire landscape of the NBA changed. It won't be an easy transition for the King, but he sounds ready for the challenge.

After losing to the Warriors in the NBA Finals again, James knew it was time to make another move. Well, the four-time MVP opened up about the team's outlook for this upcoming season in his first press conference as a member of the Lakers.

James went into the looming showdown against Golden State, saying, "We have a long way to go to beat Golden State. They can pick up right where they left off. We're picking up from scratch."

Making his ninth consecutive appearance in the Finals will be tough, especially considering the inexperience in Los Angeles. Even though Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, and Kyle Kuzma could thrive alongside James, they will still need time to build chemistry.

It might take months before the Lakers reach their full potential, but history tells us that James always figures it out.
