LeBron James Has Reportedly Decided When He'll Announce His Decision

We're exactly one week away from the start of NBA free agency. It officially begins on Sunday, July 1. Of course, all eyes will be on LeBron James.

James has made two big free agency decisions before, in 2010 going to the Miami Heat and returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014. The first time, he announced his decision in the widely-criticized special on ESPN. In 2014, his return to Ohio was revealed in a piece for Sports Illustrated.

How will James be announcing his decision this time around? That has not been made public yet, however most believe it will be something with his media company, UNINTERRUPTED.

A new report has revealed when it will be happening, too.

NBA insider Chris Sheridan is reporting that James will be announcing his decision on July 6.

"Unless his mind is already made up, July 6 is the day "Decision III" will arrive," Sheridan reports.

This conflicts with what ESPN NBA insider Brian Windhorst has said. The NBA insider believes James' decision will come prior to July 4.

Regardless of when it will come, there's still significant speculation about what that decision will be. The Lakers are listed as the favorite at the sportsbooks, but Paul George potentially not going to Los Angeles could dampen those chances.

"Conversely, there’s pessimism in James’ camp that George would leave Oklahoma City. George has raved about the Thunder since the beginning, making it clear to USA TODAY Sports in September that the organization had earned his confidence from the start," USA TODAY reports.

James has since changed all of his social media pages to a family/Akron/Cleveland theme, leading to further speculation.

Buckle in, the next week plus are going to be fascinating to watch.
