The LeBron James Sweepstakes is heating up. Several teams are zeroed in on the 33-year-old megastar.
The Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers have long been considered James' two top choices. But the Philadelphia 76ers are still in the mix.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the 76ers will meet with LeBron's reps in LA today. James will not be there, but it is still a major opportunity for Philly.
If they want to make a convincing pitch, now is the time to do it.
The Sixers can boast two young stars in Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, and the possibility of pursuing Kawhi Leonard in a trade. Also, LeBron wouldn't have to lead the East.
After it looked like Philly was out of it on LeBron, they are doing whatever they can to stay in the running.
We will provide more updates as the day rolls on.
