By now you've seen the big news. LeBron James is a Laker.
It was expected for pretty much a year now that he was leaving Cleveland again. The only question was where he would be headed.
The Lakers looked like the favorites to get him for a while, and they landed him tonight. But LeBron wanted to make sure he left Cavs fans with one final farewell message before he goes.
In the aftermath of his announcement, LeBron posted a photo to his Instagram story. It shows him in a car in the middle of a mass of people during the Cavs' 2016 championship parade.
"Thank you Northeast Ohio for an incredible 4 seasons," reads the caption. "This will always be home."
ESPN's Cassidy Hubbarth took a screenshot of the message.
It will be interesting to see the type of reception James gets when he returns to Cleveland next season.
Fans are upset he's gone but the animosity that followed "The Decision" in 2010 shouldn't be there.
