The Los Angeles Lakers need a major splash this offseason. The biggest one they could make is signing LeBron James.
There's no secret that Magic Johnson and the Lakers have been all-in on their pursuit of James. Ideally, they'd like to pair him with at least one other star.
Up until today, the Lakers looked like the clear front-runners to get LeBron. However, the Philadelphia 76ers are making a push for the 33-year-old megastar.
Still, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski said tonight on SportsCenter that the Lakers feel they are in a good spot for James.
"They feel like they are in good shape in LA," Wojnarowski said. "LA wants to be able to get to a place here where they can get a commitment from LeBron James and then start building a team around him. If they were to get a commitment from James, I think you'd very likely see the Lakers get more aggressive with the Spurs in trying to get a trade done with Kawhi Leonard."

All the speculation about LeBron should be over soon. He is expected to reveal his decision this coming week on his internet platform Uninterrupted.
It could be as early as Tuesday. Buckle up.
