If LeBron James had decided to stay put in Cleveland, the Cavs likely would not have No. 8 overall pick Collin Sexton on their roster. The first-round selection probably would've been traded in a package for another star or veteran player. There was talk of a potential trade with the Hornets for Kemba Walker.
LeBron appears to be a fan of the young Alabama product, though. He at least appears to be impressed with what he's seen so far from Sexton.
Sexton has been playing extremely well at the NBA's Summer League. He's helped lead the Cavs to several nice wins.
SLAM Magazine's Instagram account posted the following video about Sexton late on Saturday.
"Survived and advanced. Collin Sexton is still showing out in Vegas," they wrote.
Guess who liked this post? LeBron James, of course.
Sorry, Cavs fans, LeBron is not coming home. Not for a while, anyway. LeBron has signed a four-year deal (with an opt-out after Year 3) with the Lakers for more than $150 million.
However, while Collin Sexton is obviously not LeBron James, he is at least a player Cavs fans can get really excited about. The future in Cleveland doesn't look too dark.
