LeBron James will surely be taking his family into account when he makes his free agency decision this summer. James is married and has three children - two boys and a girl. His oldest son, LeBron Jr., is a rising basketball prospect.
LeBron Jr. will likely play a major factor in his dad's decision. He's set to start high school in a year and there's already (it's unfair, but there is) talk of him joining his father in the NBA one day. James has said playing against or with his son in the league would be his greatest accomplishment.
A new highlight video of LeBron Jr. has surfaced. It does not disappoint.
LeBron Jr. and his AAU team, the North Coast Blue Chips, played against rising 9th graders this weekend. They showed out.
Here's the highlight video, from SLAM:
LeBron Jr. and his team fared pretty well despite facing competition a year older than them. His team advanced out of pool play and then made it to the quarterfinals round of the tournament before losing.
The son of the best player in the NBA scored 8 points and added 6 assists in the losing effort.
James, meanwhile, is set to make his free agency in the coming weeks. NBA free agency officially begins on July 1.
Earlier reports suggested LeBron's son had already committed to a high school in Los Angeles, making it seem like his dad would be signing with the Lakers, but it's now unclear if that's actually true. Stay tuned.
