LeBron James is likely weeks away from making his free agency decision, but a Monday report suggested that a decision made by his oldest son, LeBron Jr., had given away what the NBA star was going to do.
Former NBA star Gary Payton said in an interview that James' oldest son, "Bronnie," had already committed to play at Sierra Canyon, a private high school in the Los Angeles area.
Of course, if LeBron's son is going to be playing in Los Angeles, you would think that's where he'll be playing his basketball, too.
Lakers fans are obviously thrilled with the report. But is it true?
NBA reporter Chris Palmer says he spoke to an official at the school. They've commented on the report.
"That's news to us. He hasn't," the spokesman said.
There are going to be a lot of rumors about James and his family over the next couple of weeks. We're probably not going to know what's true and what's false until he makes his decision official.
NBA free agency begins on July 1.
