Injury Update For Jacksonville Jaguars Star RB Leonard Fournette

leonard fournette leaves the game with an injury

Leonard Fournette did not play in the Jaguars' Week 2 win over the New England Patriots last Sunday. Will the star running back be playing against the Titans today? Here is the latest on his status.

Fournette is still recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered during the Week 1 win over the Giants in New York. He hoped to play last week against New England, but was unable to.

The star running back remains questionable for today's game. It would be a surprise to some if Fournette was able to give it a go against Tennessee.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport is reporting that Fournette has an "uphill battle" to make his way onto the field this afternoon.

"The Jaguars haven’t ruled out RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) yet, but he has an uphill battle to play, source said. Meanwhile, RB T.J. Yeldon (ankle) and CB Jalen Ramsey (ankle) should both be fine, I’m told. Fournette will have to prove a lot pregame to get on the field," he reports.

Fournette went through a similar situation last week, going through a pregame workout a couple of hours before kickoff, attempting to prove himself ready to play. However, he was ultimately ruled out before kickoff.

The Jaguars and the Titans are set to kick off at 1 p.m. E.T.
