Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette has released a statement after getting ejected from today's game against the Buffalo Bills for fighting earlier this afternoon.

The Jaguars' star running back was ejected after appearing to throw punches at Bills' defensive lineman Shaq Lawson.

Fournette and Lawson then reportedly had to be separated in the tunnel.

Fournette has since taken to Twitter to issue a statement: "Just want to apologize to the fans and kids out there was totally out of character was in the heat of the moment in a important game, emotions got the best of me apologize again to you all...." he writes.

It's unclear at this point if Fournette will be facing further punishment from the NFL. The Jaguars lost to the Bills, 24-21.
