LeSean McCoy Releases Statement After Photo Accuses Him Of Abuse

LeSean McCoy speaks to reporters in Buffalo.

LeSean McCoy has been accused this morning of violently beating up his girlfriend, with a reported friend of the significant other posting photos of the alleged abuse on social media. The Buffalo Bills running back has since taken to Instagram to address the allegations.

The 29-year-old running back has denied the allegations, saying they are "baseless" and "offensive." He released an entire statement on Instagram.

"For the record, the totally baseless and offensive claims made against me today on social media are completely false," he wrote.

"Further more, I have not had any direct contact with any of the people involved in months."

Allegations against McCoy surfaced this morning when a friend of the running back's alleged girlfriend posted a photo on Instagram, showing an extremely injured woman. The post accused McCoy of several things, including abuse. WARNING: The photo is graphic.

The Buffalo Bills have yet to publicly comment on the allegations, however ESPN NFL insider Dianna Russini reports that they are aware of the allegations and are looking into them.

"The Buffalo Bills are aware of the LeSean McCoy allegations, told it is being looked into per sources," she reports.

McCoy has been with the Buffalo Bills since 2015.
