Listen: Sports Illustrated Has Released Full Audio Of Gordon Gee's Comments, And It's Worse Than You Thought

Yesterday, the Associated Press released a report that detailed some comments Ohio State President Gordon Gee made about Notre Dame, Louisville, Kentucky and the rest of the SEC. Today, Sports Illustrated has obtained the full audio, revealing much more.

You can listen to the recording below.

Aside from his comments on the aforementioned schools and conferences, there are some pretty shocking new tidbits:

  • Gee said that the additions of Maryland and Rutgers to the Big Ten makes the BTN worth "more money than God".
  • Gee thinks the Big Ten needs to be "predatory".
  • Gee goes off about Pitt, Penn State and Cincinnati at one point: “You know Penn State just abhors Pitt. It would be the same way. Even though we love Cincinnati as a city, we want it to be an Ohio State city. They’d have to take Gene out and shoot him to let Cincinnati into the Big Ten. There are some things that we just would not to. And that’s the way that Penn State also feels about Pitt.”
  • He claims that Wisconsin AD Barry Alvarez thought of former coach Bret Bielema as a "thug".
  • Gee mentions a "blocking strategy" that the Big Ten has put on the ACC, which he claims led the conference to admit Louisville.

I don't know that there's been precedent with something like this, but you have to think Gee's seat is getting warm at Ohio State. He managed to insult almost the entire college athletics landscape in one meeting.
