Lonzo Ball's Summer League Debut Was A Disaster

Lonzo Ball had a forgettable Summer League debut on Friday night.

The NBA Summer League has tipped off, and Friday night, we got our first look at the much-hyped Lonzo Ball, who was the No. 2 overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers this past June. It's safe to say he has some things to work on.

Ball, who actually pulled off an awesome alley-oop pass to Brandon Ingram in the game's first minute, couldn't get much going at all the rest of the contest.

Ball finished 2-of-15 from the field, missing 10 of his 11 three-point attempts. He also had four rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block to go with three turnovers and four fouls. He finished with five points on the night.

Here's footage of Ball's alley-oop to Ingram.

Video of one of Ball's errant shots - an air ball - is going viral.

Ball's defense was also questionable - here's a highlight of Brice Johnson smoking him on the baseline.

Here are full highlights of Ball's performance. After the contest, Ball's father LaVar admitted that it was his son's worst game of his career. He sees it as a positive though.

Yes, it's just one game. And yes, the pressure on this kid is immense. But he's going to need to figure out his shot quickly - or he's going to have a rough first season.
