Oklahoma football welcomed program royalty back to Norman for the Sooners' annual spring game on Saturday, including former head coach Bob Stoops.

In addition to Stoops, four of OU's six living Heisman Trophy winners were also in attendance. Baker Mayfield (2017) has his statue unveiled this weekend, and Kyler Murray (2018), Jason White (2003) and Steve Owens (1969) also made the trip.

Stoops took a picture with all four on the field and shared it on Twitter last night.

A two-time Walter Camp Coach of the Year in his 18 seasons with the Sooners, Stoops actually coached three of the four men in the photo.

He tutored White throughout his entire career in Norman, and worked with Mayfield for two years. Murray, meanwhile, was a redshirt member of the program during Stoops' final season in 2016.

Billy Sims and Sam Bradford are the only living Sooner Heismans missing from the picture. Another OU legend, Brian Bosworth, was at yesterday's showcase and came away impressed.

“Word on the street there is a battle brewing. OUr leadership is strong now,” Bosworth wrote on Twitter. “The Sooner Nation has your back ⁦@CoachVenables ⁩ prOUd of OUr direction of this historic program ⁦@OU_Football.”
